Are you a small business owner located in British Columbia? If so we have some good news for you! The government of BC recently opened up a grant that provides up to $7500 to small businesses in order to help them build or upgrade their online sales platforms to help get through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program was announced in early February by BC Jobs Minister Ravi Kahlon along with a portal at launchonline.ca. The $12 million online sales fund is the second small business assistance program from the B.C. government’s $1.5 billion StrongerBC funds, announced before last fall’s election.

What does it cover?

You’ll have 75% of your costs covered for a maximum of $7500 per business for Web Development, Content Creation, Photography, E-commerce Subscription, Pay-per-Click Advertising, Search Engine Optimization, and Staff training to manage your Online Store.

Who can apply?

You are a BC resident operating in BC, you have less than 149 employees, have a GST number, and generated more than $30,000 in the past year. See here for full details. If you meet these eligibility requirements be sure to apply ASAP as the program will end once all the funds have been allocated.
